After graduating in Industrial Design during 1987, I spent the early part of my career as an in-house product designer. This included periods in both manufacturing companies and design/marketing agencies. I have been a Member of the Chartered Society of Designers since 1991.

Having completed a MA, specialising in Design Management in 1999, I have subsequently been a senior Design Manager in several UK manufacturing companies, winning a number of design industry prizes.

I have been an external contributor to the Design Council ‘Design Programme for Business’ programme since 2003. This has involved being a consultant Design Manager (Mentor) for participant companies wishing to engage with and benefit from the strategic use of design thinking and practices.

In early 2005 I set up my own practice combining a range of Design Management consultancy with some entrepreneurial product development.

I am part of a wide network of professional, experienced design specialists in brand, product development, graphics, engineering, testing, design management etc who can be accessed, built into teams, or sourced individually, as appropriate.
