I can operate at a number of levels within a company. It is usual to start at board level with strategic thinking and planning, often using breakthrough thinking and brainstorming techniques to define and identify opportunities. This often encompasses approaches to brand, visioning and core values, in addition to new product development. Having identified some potential opportunities, these can then be evaluated using judgement criteria and the strategic objectives to further refine the opportunities. Then by professionally interrogating the ideas, scoping and planning, researching and writing briefs, they can be finely filtered and a final project outline reached. Finally a project team can be set up, managed and lead by the Design
Manager, who would then oversee the project through to final production.
